We often get asked about the differences between the two newborn options from BABYZEN, and we are here to answer those questions!
In September 2020, BABYZEN released the addition of the YOYO bassinet to their newborn range, which has proven to be a huge success amongst expecting parents and families. With the introduction of the bassinet, BABYZEN has become the first brand to offer two newborn solutions, and is in no-way replacing the existing newborn pack but offering a choice for parents with different lifestyles.
Let’s begin with the newborn pack…
The newborn pack is BABYZEN’s original from-birth solution, giving baby the ability to lie completely flat facing the parent. What makes the newborn pack stand out is its ability to fold in one piece with the YOYO without having to be removed.
This is a huge plus for any parents looking for a newborn stroller with limited storage space at home – it is so compact and lightweight that you can even hang it in a cupboard or on a coat rack. The newborn pack is also the perfect option for parents who like to travel on public transport, have a limited car boot space or love to travel by planes, as when folded, the YOYO is below the recommended IATA-approved carry-on baggage size.
The newborn pack is soft and compact with added comfort essentials such as the soft nest pad, head support and sherpa-lined foot cover. On hot summer days, you can easily remove the foot cover to keep baby cool and comfortable.
Other added benefits of the newborn pack include:
- Adjustable 5 point harness with universal buckle design
- Extendable canopy with UPF 50+ protection
- Exclusive pop up canopy with two positions
- 2.5cm thick mattress
- Fabrics that are easily removable and washable at 30°
- Use of the YOYO car seat by BeSafe on top of the YOYO² without removing the newborn pack, making vehicle transfers as easy as possible
The YOYO² and newborn pack ultimately take the fuss out of stressful trips and days out with a newborn in tow.
Unlike the soft nest of the newborn pack, the YOYO bassinet is a ventilated semi-hard shell that provides ultimate luxury and comfort for your baby; it’s designed to allow air to flow freely whilst being incredibly lightweight (3kg) and easy to attach in just one click.
Like the newborn pack, the bassinet is a lie-flat and parent-facing option but has a breathable 4.5cm thick double mattress to ensure the most comfortable ride.
The bassinet is fully detachable and can be removed from the frame and placed down whilst your child naps peacefully, ensuring a smooth transition from the outside to the home. If you wish to use the BeSafe YOYO car seat on the stroller, simply remove your bassinet and attach your car seat to the frame.
Whether you’re visiting family, friends or heading out to your favourite restaurant, your YOYO bassinet will get significant use as it allows you to keep baby close at all times. Although the bassinet cannot be folded with the frame, it does disassemble into two parts for storage purposes.
Other benefits of the bassinet include:
- Inner pockets to tuck away small items
- Anti-UV (UPF 50+) water-repellent fabric
- Protective foot cover
Making your choice…
As you can tell, both options are secure, stylish, and an excellent choice for your precious bundle. Luckily, both bassinet and newborn pack are available in all 9 BABYZEN colours so that you won’t be disappointed!
When deciding between the two, it comes down to which product is going to get the most use and which will fit in more conveniently with your lifestyle. Both options are clever and easy to use and will support you and your baby from birth up to 6 months/ 9kg. The choice is yours to make, but we hope we made it that little bit easier.
